is this a good Store idea?

my idea(that is protected) for a store is a total sports equipment rental store. i’ve researched the market and i found that there is no major sports rental stores outside ski and snowboards. My store would offer rentals of all sorts ]like hockey equipment, kayaks, Mountain climbing equipment, my question is, is it a good idea?

Sure, it could work. Now the hard part starts.

You need to write a detailed business plan for your own benefit to see how it’s going to work and make sure you covered all the bases. For instance, I think once you rent out an item enough times, you could sell it off used instead of loosing that customer to another business. In this case, the rental basically covers the item several times over, and selling it might cover your wholesale cost to replenish it, plus you get more loyal customers.

You might also want to talk to experts in related fields to get other advice. I kind of see a potential liability issue if the person who rents out the equipment gets injured (whether because of misuse or not).

Oh, then there’s the funding process and more.
