going river rafting/tubing, what laws do I have to follow?

me and friends are going tubing down a river. there’s no boats, and we’re going to end up in our downtown area, its really safe.
what laws do we have to follow so we wont get in trouble?
Also, were just taking some inflatable pool rafts/tubes and going,
so thanks!

Inquire at the local Department of Natural Resources office. Boating in municipal waters is not a good practice. The water is probably polluted as well as containing dangerous obstructions. Chances are there are no restrictions to your expedition. Beware of low headroom dams and similar ‘killers’ Wear PFDs and helmets.
